Back and Forth Across the Border

It's been a while since the last entry on the blog but with the opening of the golf season I've only just found time to post an update. I've had a number of parties on our tours and we got great feedback from them - they liked it, would come back again and would recommend it to their friends. But in any business you can't rest on your laurels and the promotion and marketing has to keep going.

To keep the wheels of the Hidden Gems PR machine oiled I had another two journalists sample our "Border Crossings Short Break" playing courses at Bamburgh Castle, Goswick (both in Northumberland) and The Roxburghe, near Kelso. They stayed in the Cross Keys Hotel in Kelso where we had a meal on the Friday night after playing Bamburgh Castle. I'd like to thank all of the courses involved for hosting our party - hopefully we'll all benefit from an increased awareness of these great courses among golfers planning a holiday at the moment.

At the end of the trip both journalists were saying nice things about the experience - hopefully that will translate into a couple of really good features about the company. If you are a subscriber to "Today's Golfer" there will be a feature in next months edition on Borders and Northumberland courses with Hidden Gems getting a mention - all good stuff to try and build your profile in these tough economic times.

I thought I'd finish with a nice photo which we took while at Bamburgh - I defy anyone who loves their golf not to be tempted to play here!
